NASA Lightning Detection

Below please find a link to the New NASA Lightning detection tool. This tool presented and demoed by Daile Zhang from the University of North Dakota, Department of Atmospheric Sciences at our most recent conference.  Please use this tool to make better informed decisions about your outdoor exposure risk. Daile tells us, "It may take a bit of time to load, but you can zoom in to a specific location. Red, yellow, and green means that lightning is within 10, 20, and 30 min, respectively. It's a good tool for people to check if lightning is going to be in the area." â€‹
